Number Square or Square Number
A square number is the result when a number has been multiplied by itself.
Example: 25 is a square number because it is the result of multiplication 5 x 5.
This is also written as 52 (“five squared”). 52 =5×5 =25
We can find the square numbers by multiplying each number by itself:
1×1=1, 2×2=4, 3×3=9, 4×4=16, 5×5=25, 6×6=36 … or we can write 12, 22, 32, 42, 52, 62, 72, …………
Square numbers are: 1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36, 49, 64, 81, 100, 121, 144, 169 ………etc
