Weight<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0 shows how heavy something is.<\/p>\n

In everyday life, mass is often called weight but mass and weight are not the same.<\/strong>
Mass<\/strong> is the quantity of matter in an object and doesn’t change but the weight<\/strong> of an object changes according to gravity.<\/p>\n

An object on the moon weighs less<\/strong> than it does on the earth,<\/strong> and in space is weightless<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The mass of the object<\/strong> does not change, regardless of where it is (A brick would be weightless in space,
even though it still has the same mass as on earth).<\/p>\n
