Look at the digit in the place value to be rounded to.<br \/>2. Increase it by 1 if the digit to the right of it is 5 or more.<br \/>3. Leave it the same if the digit to the right of it is less than 5.<br \/>4. Remove everything to the right of the digit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Example:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>Round 1634.286 to 1 decimal place:\u00a0 \u00a0 1634.286 \u2248 1634.3<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"FootnotesCopyrightNoticeEtc\"><span class=\"NotesHeader\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>When rounding to 10 or above <\/strong><\/span>there&#8217;s an important change to step 4.<br \/><\/span><\/span><span class=\"NotesBodyText\">4.
