A unit price<\/span><\/strong> is\u00a0the price for one item or measurement, such as a pound, a kilogram, or a pint, which can be used to compare the same type of goods sold in varying weights and amounts.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

To find the unit price of something, we\u00a0divide the cost by the number of units of measurement<\/strong>. That is, the unit price is equal to the cost divided by the number of kilograms, liters, pounds, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n
