Negative integer<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n\n\n

A negative <\/strong><\/mark>integer<\/strong><\/mark> is the opposite of a natural number<\/em>. It is not a fraction or a decimal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a number whose value is always less than zero and it has a minus (-) sign before it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, -3 <\/strong><\/mark>and -5<\/mark><\/strong> are negative integers<\/strong><\/mark>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On a number line, negative numbers are represented on the left side of zero. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

..-6, -5, -4, -3, -2, -1<\/mark><\/mark><\/strong>,<\/mark><\/strong><\/mark> 0<\/strong><\/mark>*, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, ………………………….<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* The integer zero is neither positive nor negative.<\/em><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n
