Division

Division is one of the four basic operations of arithmetic.

What is being divided is called the dividend, which is divided by the divisor, and the result is called the quotient.

a	:	b	=	c
dividend		divisor		quotient

Exampe:

10 : 2 = 5 10 is dividend 2 is divisor  5 is quotient

Control 5 ⋅ 2 = 6

Division is dividing a number into equal parts.



Ten divided by two equals five.
