Volume and Total Surface Area
Volume (V) = Area of the triangle x prism height
Volume (V) = Area of the triangle x length

a – base edge, base of the triangle

h – base height, height of the triangle

H –  prism height, prism length

l –  length, prism height

Perimeter of the triangle (P)  = a + b + c

a, b, c –  sides of the triangle, sides of the triangular faces

Total Surface Area  = Lateral area + 2 triangular faces area

Lateral Area = aH + bH + cH = (a + b + c) H  = PH

or Lateral Area = al + bl +cl = (a+b+c)l = Pl
